- Jenny "Fox" Konway

- A true Washington native, Jenny joins the Portal team after living a brief stint on the East Coast. Happy to be back where the mountains reign high and mighty, she can most often be found out wandering the forests on foot, happily riding her horses or cruising the hills on her mountain bike. - Kristina "Pika" Krause

- Kristina (Pika) is quite glad to be back in Seattle after spending her college years majoring in anthropology on the east coast. In her spare time she enjoys biking, hikes, cheesy pilates exercise videos, coconut macaroon chai, lemurs, and travel. She has always been a great supporter of the environment and is excited to be helping in a more professional manner. In the future she hopes to obtain a graduate degree in visual anthropology.

- Christy "Coho" Parry

- Christy recently moved to Seattle after spending a year and a half in Alaska where she worked as a Biologist on a commercial fishing boat. - Bob "Duff" Kelly

- Bob has arrived in Seattle and to the Portal after making the cross-country trek from Boston where he was born and raised. Recently he has resided in Vermont where he majored in Environmental Studies at the University of Vermont. Although he misses the harsh Vermont winters and brash Northeastern cynicism of home, he is thrilled to be in the Northwest and be a part of the Portal! Bob has a fondness for hiking long distances, ultimate frisbee, crossword puzzles, yoga balance balls, fruit smoothies, breakfast cereals, jogging, competitive Scrabble, and searching for Sasquatch.

- Shannon "Hummingbird" Luoma

- Shannon worked on habitat restoration and environmental education with EarthCorps for two years before coming to the Portal. She loves native plants, good food, and "I Heart Huckabees". She's also the Environmental Portal Manager, so if you're lookin for the head honcho, you've found her.

- Leah "Banana Slug" Baugh

- Leah's journey with environmental ed began at a plucky little summer camp in Delaware. She worked there for six years where she developed her love for obnoxious camp songs, crafts, sea turtles, and dirt. She studied anthropology and spanish at James Madison University (in her home state of VIrginia) and upon graduation moved to Montana to wield chainsaws in the wilderness. Soon after her year was up, she decided to go back to her summer camp roots and get a job in environmental ed. She is now loving her new job with NWEEC and life in the northwest with its abundance of mountains, greenery, coffee shops, and banana slugs.

- Lilah is a recent transplant to the Seattle area and is enjoying making her home in this
lush, green, hydrated city. After a year spent living in a tipi and teaching in a private school in MA
she decided to head West. A graduate of Bard College where she studied Environmental Studies
and Modern Dance, she came here to pursue her passions for teaching, fostering healthy environments,
and dancing. She enjoys new adventures while getting to know lots of different plants, animals, and people.
She is grateful to be working on the things she loves and hopes to keep at it for many years to come in Seattle and beyond!
